We look for fellows who are:

  • Working at the intersection of technology and the liberal arts

  • Inspired by what’s possible, not just what’s broken

  • Unusually talented, but undiscovered and ready to break through

  • Especially curious pattern seekers and dot connectors—the ones who see things differently

  • Generous spirits, moved to make something uncommonly useful or beautiful for the rest of us

  • Self-starters who persist through the challenges of creative work

  • From a diversity of backgrounds, with a range of perspectives, strengths, and approaches

Eligible candidates must:

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 26 at time of application

  • Receive a nomination (self-nominations will not be accepted)

  • Attend part-time programming between September 2025 and September 2026, including:

  • Monthly virtual sessions (approximately 2–3 hours per month)

  • Two in-person gatherings (approximately 2–3 days each)

  • Reside in the U.S. during their fellowship year (the Archive does not sponsor visas in connection with this program)

Key dates:

  • February 18–March 11, 2025: Application period

  • April 2025: Interviews with finalists

  • August 2025: Selection (we will notify all applicants of their status by this time)

  • September 2025: Programming begins

Technology is nothing. What’s important is that you have a faith in people, that they’re basically good and smart and if you give them tools, they’ll do wonderful things with them.

Steve, 1994
